University of Galway Mens Soccer Club.
New members are very welcome. Please see below information on all of our competitive teams and recreational (indoor) soccer. Please also check our social media platforms for updates in relation to trials and training for all of our teams.

Indoor Soccer 2023/2024: FULLY Subscribed
Games take place in the indoor courts at Kingfisher Sports Club every Thursday 12midday to 2pm (one hour games). Indoor is currently fully subscribed but email menssoccer@clubs.universityofgalway.ie to be added to the Waiting list.

Galway & District League Team: Autumn 2023
Training takes place every Tuesday and Thursday in Dangan at 7pm. The team play weekends across Galway city and county playing in the Championship Division of the Galway FA League

Intervarsity Teams: Autumn 2023
Training takes place every Thursday in Dangan at 4.30pm. Games are played midweek across Ireland in the Colleges & Universities Football League (CUFL).
Intervarsity competitions will be played in 2024 as below:

Harding Cup Hosted by UCC - 5th, 6th and 7th of February 2024
Collingwood Cup Hosted by University of Galway - 19th, 20th and 21st February 2024

History

The Men's Soccer Club is one of the oldest on campus having participated in the Collingwood Cup since 1914 and member of the Irish Universities Football Union (IUFU). We partake in the Collingwood Cup (Seniors), Harding Cup (Freshers) and occasionally the Crowley Cup under the IUFU intervarsity competitions.

The club is also a proud member of the local Galway and District League (www.galwayfa.ie) since its formation. We have had a lot of success recently in Galway League winning a number of Divisional League and Cup titles.

More recently we joined the Colleges and Universities Football League (CUFL) from its formation and have had considerable success in the CUFL.
