Last weekend, our swimming club traveled to Limerick for the much-anticipated Gerry Ryan Memorial Gala, a three-day-long competition marking the first long-course event of the year. The College Swim Club had a fantastic showing at the recent Connacht Short Course Championships in Castlebar over the past weekend, with stellar performances and several podium finishes across two intense days of competition. With fifteen swimmers swimming in a wide range of events, it was great to see them making a splash in the short-course season. The University of Galway Boat Club had a very successful weekend with their first race of the season taking place on the River Erne in Enniskillen. With 9 crews entered UGBC was one of the of the most well represented clubs on the day. All of our crews raced extremely well with multiple top 3 finishes across both the men's and women's events.
