Last month UGBC flew over to London to compete at London Metropolitan Regatta held at Eton Dorney Lake, the venue for the 2012 Olympic Games. With a squad of over 30 athletes, UGBC competed in over 10 different boat classes. With 3 wins across the weekend, UGBC was the only Irish club to claim victory in any event. UGBC won the Men's Champ 2X (Martin O'Grady, Donagh Claffey), the Men's Champ 4X- (Donnacha Keeley, Ciarán O'Sullivan, Shane McLoughlin, Shane Rafferty) and the Women's Academic 4- (Isabel O'Byrne, Maddie Donnelly, Ellen Forde, Jane Hillery)
